Artificial intelligence continues to take over the traffic world, especially in the world of traffic cameras used for enforcement of speeding, red light running and passing school buses. Let me start by saying I detest drunk driving. That said, the Colorado Department of Transportation sent out a press release saying more than half of all drivers who were contacted for suspected DUI refused to take a toxicology test. There are lawyers on social media who will persuade you to not take the test but is that the best strategy if you are pulled over? Are you allowed to change lanes in an intersection? I have the answer and one listener's voicemail. Also, President Trump signed an executive order requiring all commercial truck drivers in the US to demonstrate proficiency in English saying it is a critical safety matter. After one of our Denver7 reporters covered the story for television, a retired CDL driver, trainer & instructor, Tom McIntosh, reached out saying he has some comments that could be helpful as to why this issue is all about safety.
