E184 - This is really a game changer in real time traffic information
Wednesday Oct 28, 2020
Wednesday Oct 28, 2020
One of the problems with navigation software is the reliance on crowdsourced or late input data into the system. There is a company that believes they have solved part of the problem by creating a way for official sources to input real time road closures or lane closures or other roadway restrictions in real time that is then delivered to your favorite traffic app. The small UK tech company is called One.Network and they have a traffic operations software that they developed that can help all of us as we drive. One.Network's Founder/CEO James Harris and their Chief Commercial Officer Simon Topp joins me from London to talk all about their platform and what it means to you while you are driving. And after 7 months working from home I am out of the basement and back in the studio. All that and more on the Driving You Crazy Podcast.

E181 - Should cities make their downtown urban core void of cars?
Wednesday Sep 30, 2020
Wednesday Sep 30, 2020
After the last episode, I was taken to task by software developer, founding member of the Denver Bicycle Lobby and creator of the website called NoSquish.com Rob Toftness for my comments about the desire of city planners and leaders to make it so inconvenient to drive a car in those areas that you won’t do it anymore. I asked Rob to be on the show and he agreed to give us his perspective on how cities are changing into biking cities. Also, who pays if you crash a car while on a test drive? E177 - There's nothing like driving in a 27 foot long hotdog
Wednesday Aug 19, 2020
Wednesday Aug 19, 2020
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live, eat and breathe hotdogs for a full year? How about what it would be like to drive and tour with the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile? I invited Katie Ferguson, also known as Ketchup Katie and Rachel Aul, aka Relish Rachel, two of the Oscar Mayer Hotdoggers who drive the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile across America. Airlines are dropping routes in anticipation of not seeing passengers for a long time. What if you could change the traffic lights from red to green but there is a catch.
